Our Team

Established in 2024, Penshurst Eyecare is a modern, locally owned optometry clinic dedicated to delivering personalised, high-quality eye care to our growing community.

Our clinic is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including retinal imaging, OCT, and visual field testing, to ensure thorough and accurate eye assessments.

​

We're proud to be led by two passionate optometrists: Reynold Trau, who has a special interest in children's vision and myopia control, and Leo Tang, who focuses on managing migraines, dry eye, and complex visual needs.

​

Located in the heart of Penshurst, our clinic is just a few minutes' walk from Penshurst train station, with multiple parking options nearby. We look forward to helping you see clearly and comfortably, now and into the future.

Reynold is a dedicated optometrist with a passion for providing exceptional eye care. With a Master's in Clinical Optometry and a Bachelor's in Vision Science, Reynold brings a deep understanding of vision health to every patient consultation.

Reynold has a particular interest in managing diabetic eye conditions and macular degeneration. He is committed to staying updated with the latest research and treatment options to help patients manage these complex conditions and maintain their eye health.

Whether it's monitoring diabetic retinopathy or offering support for those dealing with macular degeneration, Reynold works closely with patients to create personalized care plans that best suit their needs.

 

When he's not in the office, Reynold enjoys fishing and spending time outdoors, an activity that allows him to unwind and recharge. His attention to detail in his personal life translates into the thoughtful care he provides to every patient.

Leo is a skilled and dedicated optometrist with a passion for providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. With a Master's in Clinical Optometry and a Bachelor's in Vision Science, Leo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every patient interaction.

Leo has a keen interest in myopia control, digital eyestrain management, and glaucoma management. He is committed to staying at the forefront of the latest advancements in optometry to ensure patients receive the best possible care. Whether it’s helping children manage myopia progression, providing solutions for the growing concern of digital eyestrain, or offering personalised care for patients with glaucoma, Leo is dedicated to addressing each patient's unique vision needs.​

Outside of the office, Leo is an avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and enjoys training at local gyms. This discipline helps him maintain focus and resilience, qualities that he brings into every aspect of patient care.

Lisa is an experienced Orthoptist for over 10 years. Lisa completed her undergraduate degree in Health Science then went on to complete her Masters in Clinical Vision Science (Orthoptics) at Sydney University in 2011.

​

Over the last 10 years, Lisa has been treating patients in several settings including hospitals, private practice, at schools and in clinic. Lisa has a special interest in children’s vision and treating common visual skills dysfunctions with therapy rather than glasses or surgery.

Lisa is often quoted as describing Orthoptics as “Physiotherapy for the eyes and brain” – and when she’s not seeing patient’s she is often at primary schools across Greater Sydney presenting to parents and teachers on the important role Vision plays in learning.

She works very closely with our Optometrists to make sure her patients have access to a wide range of tests and services.
