NSW Spectacles Program
​Free Glasses Through the NSW Spectacles Program
At Penshurst Eyecare, we’re proud to partner with the NSW Spectacles Program to provide eligible residents with free prescription glasses. If you receive a Centrelink payment at the maximum rate, you may qualify for this valuable service.
Check If You're Eligible
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a permanent resident of NSW
- Receive the maximum rate of a Centrelink pension or income support payment
- Have no additional income over $25/year
- Hold financial assets under $500 (single) or $1,000 (couples or parents/guardians)
- Not have accessed the program in the past 2 years
What’s Included
You’ll receive a free pair of glasses every two years, with standard single-vision or bifocal lenses included. Optional lens upgrades are available for a small additional cost.​
